Founder & CEO, Cashae Spine & Sports
Dr. Smith is an avid outdoor rock climber, competitive swimmer, runner, marathoner, and bicyclist with first-hand knowledge of the benefits of chiropractic therapy. Not long after earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctorate of Chiropractic and Sports Rehabilitation, she opened her own practice, Cashae Spine & Sport, in Silver Spring, Maryland.
While beginning with an emphasis on treatment of sports-related injuries, the word got out and patients seeking her treatments now range from teens to baby boomers and beyond.
All the while, Dr. Smith has not waivered on her commitment to spending quality time with her patients and educating them on preventive measures they can take to achieve optimum levels of mobility and functionality in their lives. Her secret formula is comprised of three things: 1) remaining up to date through continuous education and certifications; 2) spending time to connect with each and every patient; and 3) making the office a comfortable and welcoming place to visit. In fact, she has two “patient greeters” (Yorkies) A.J. and Casey, who will remain with you during your treatment if you if you ask.
Dr. Smith graduated with honors in from South Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and holds a Doctorate in Chiropractic from Sherman Chiropractic College. She obtained the postgraduate designation of Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) by the America Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians™ and has achieved the Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians® (DACBSP®) This is the highest level of sports training a chiropractor can receive in the field in which there are less than 400 in the country.
